At Kuumba Imani Day Nursery, we have a team of highly qualified, dedicated professionals that provide excellent childcare for children aged 0-5.
Children come first. Our overall aim is to provide high quality childcare in a warm, safe, stimulating and happy environment – promoting equality and diversity and valuing every child as an individual. We are registered with OFSTED.
At Kuumba Imani Day Nursery, we nurture the children in our care by creating a warm, safe and supportive environment, supporting the Early Years Foundation stage (EYFS).
We have places available from 7.30am – 6.30pm, 51 weeks per year.
By adopting and applying the ‘key person’ approach to child care practice, as outlined by EYFS, we will give utmost reassurance to children to ensure they feel safe and cared for whilst also building relationships with their parents.
A ‘key person’ plays a vital role in a child’s life and demonstrates consistency, sensitivity and is responsive to the child’s needs. Our staff will engage, interact and connect with the child and their family.
We actively endorse inclusivity for all children and promote an environment that advocates tolerance, respect and acceptance.
The Day Nursery is part of the Kuumba Imani Millennium Centre, a social enterprise, that is open to everyone but especially Merseyside minority groups and women. All our profits are reinvested for the benefit of our community and this allows us to provide childcare at a very reasonable cost.
We offer 15 hours a week, free child care for 3 and 4 year olds, for 38 weeks of the year, in accordance with the Nursery Education Funding Agreement.
Our sessions are flexible. You can book morning, afternoon or full day sessions.
Morning Session 7.30am-1.00pm (incl. lunch)
Afternoon Session 1pm – 6.30pm
Full day 7.30am – 6.30pm (incl. lunch)
We will provide healthy meals for the children. By sourcing fresh, local produce, all of our home cooked meals will ensure a regular healthy diet for the children. Dietary preferences for religious or cultural reasons are catered for and any other special requirements such as dairy free, gluten free and vegetarian will all be available on request – just let us know.
